Biography

The Right Reverend Brent Edward Whetstone serves as the Bishop of the Anglican Ordinariate of Saint George. A pastor formed in the Anglican tradition, his ministry has been marked by chaplaincy, parish life, and the careful guarding of catholic faith and order.

Episcopal Motto

“Christus in Omnibus Locis, Per Viam Anglicanam” — Christ in Every Place, Through the Anglican Way. The motto names both the missionary horizon of the Ordinariate and the patrimony through which it bears witness.

Pastoral Letters

The Bishop addresses the clergy and faithful through periodic pastoral letters on prayer, doctrine, the sacraments, and the life of the Ordinariate. Letters are published as they are issued.

Chaplaincy Ministry

Much of the Ordinariate's work is carried out through chaplaincies — to first responders, hospitals, schools, and scattered communities of the faithful. The Bishop oversees, commissions, and visits these chaplains across the jurisdiction.

Ordinations and Episcopal Acts

Ordinations to the diaconate and priesthood, confirmations, blessings of oils, and consecrations are celebrated at the Pro-Cathedral as the principal liturgical expression of the Bishop's office.
